Biography

Dr. Zuo is an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. In 2017, she completed residency in anesthesiology at the same institution. She then completed a fellowship in regional anesthesiology & acute pain medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. She proudly serves as the Assistant Program Director of the residency program at OHSU, where her primary duty is to develop an evidence-based dedicated learning half-day program for the resident physicians. In 2020, she completed the Education Scholars Program offered at OHSU. Her research interests include studying the effects of improved patient education on healthcare resource utilization, investigating gender disparities, and studying the feasibility and satisfaction of a national learning rounds, instituted during COVID-19. In 2019, she won the Dr. Norman Bergman Award for excellence in teaching junior residents, and in 2020, she was awarded the Faculty Excellence in Education Award for her work on the protected weekly half-day didactic program for learners in anesthesiology. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, partaking in the local food scene, and spending time with family.
