Jose Ricardo Aguilar Estrada (he/him)

  • NICH Interventionist

Biography

Ricardo comes from a background of working with autistic individuals on the spectrum. As an at-home caregiver, he has developed programs to aide his clients with their day-to-day functions and improve their overall communication among their community by building trust through recreational activities (going to restaurants, movie theaters, hikes, etc.). Ricardo also has experience working with cancer patients, as he volunteered at the Children’s Cancer Association as a Chemo-pal. There he was able to create a positive and fun environment for his clients as they awaited treatment. As an Interventionist, Ricardo hopes to continue creating this positive experience for both patients and their families so that they can overcome any barriers.

In his spare time, Ricardo enjoys being in nature and plays both soccer and kickball for a recreational league. If he is not spending time with his loved ones, his adorable kitten Doja is keeping him busy.
