Biography

Ilker Yaylali received his M.D. degree from Hacettepe University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey in 1984. He completed his Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering at University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL, in 1996. He joined the Neuroscience Center at Miami Children's Hospital in 1989. From 1992 to 1994, he was an EEG and clinical neurophysiology fellow at Miami Children's Hospital. He worked there until April 2007.

Dr. Yaylali is currently a professor of neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. His current research interests are in the application of dynamical system theory and artificial neural networks to EEG, neurophysiologic evaluation of language processing, and biological signal processing and analysis.
