Biography

Education Specialist, Assistant Professor - Office of Educational Improvement and Innovation

As an education specialist at OHSU, I co-chair the Interprofessional Initiative (IPI) and co-direct the Interprofessional Education Foundations course. I also co-lead the Foster Respectful and Equitable Education (FREE) initiative, where I design and facilitate faculty development programs that help create equity-centered learning environments.

With over 20 years of experience teaching in higher education across the U.S., I specialize in inclusive pedagogies and equity-focused teaching practices. My work is grounded in the belief that all learners deserve to feel respected, supported, and seen in their educational journeys. I am also a certified Social Justice mediator, bringing a restorative and reflective lens to the work of educational transformation. I am passionate about helping educators and learners thrive in spaces where belonging and collaboration are central.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest, sharing moments with my two daughters and my puppy, and discovering new coffee shops.
