Biography

Dr. Ginny Hsu is an orthodontist-scientist whose research focus lies at the intersection of degenerative joint diseases and stem cells in bone regeneration. She earned her dental degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, obtained Master’s Degree in Oral Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received Orthodontic Certificate training at New York University (NYU) and returned to research as Postdoctoral Fellow in bone pathology at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), School of Medicine to advance her research skill. The current subjects of studies in Hsu lab include novel differentiation factors for bone repair, characterization of osteogenic perivascular stem cells, and stem cells in degenerative joint diseases. Besides research, Dr. Hsu also practices orthodontics at OHSU faculty dental practice.
