Eric Zhang, M.D. (he/him)
- Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, School of Medicine
Biography
I am a pediatric anesthesiologist. I’m passionate about caring for children and helping them—and their families—through what can be a stressful time. I find working with kids deeply rewarding, from supporting those who need a calm, reassuring presence to witnessing the incredible resilience they show every day.
I grew up in New England and completed medical school at Weill Cornell Medicine before moving to Portland for my anesthesiology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where I served as chief resident and an ASA delegate for Oregon. I then completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Mass General Brigham in Boston before returning to the Pacific Northwest.
Outside of work, I’m a conservatory-trained pianist and enjoy spending time at the piano. I’m also a technology enthusiast and love cooking at home.
