Biography

I have a passion for nursing care of children and families, global health, and creating inclusive educational evironments.  I have been teaching in the undergraduate nursing program at OHSU since 2004. The main areas in which I teach are in care in the community and global health. My teaching philosophy is to facilitate student learning that is transformative to their personal and professional lives. I view teaching as a partnership with students to identify the way forward in their education and to help them develop lifelong learning habits. My goal is that students will both meet their course learning outcomes and have a positive impact on the lives of the clients they learn from.
