Biography

Dr. Razavi was born in Rochester, NY and attended college at Johns Hopkins University where he majored in Biophysics and was captain of the men's varsity swimming team. Following college he attended Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where he was elected as a member of the AOA honor society. He returned to Baltimore to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, during which he completed 2 years of NIH funded research. His research focused on the integration of technology and innovation within the field of OHNS, with the ultimate aim of improving surgical outcomes and patient quality of life. He worked closely with both industry start-ups as well as established faculty at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of engineering, with their work leading to multiple publications and patent applications. He joined the faculty at OHSU in 2022.
