Cheryl C. Miller, Ed.D., MA (she/her)
- Assistant Vice Provost for Educational Technology and Innovation
Biography
As a first-generation college graduate, I am passionate about the power of education to change lives and am dedicated to helping students succeed. As the new assistant vice provost for educational technology and innovation, my focus is on improving and managing technology initiatives critical to student learning, with the help of my EdCOMM team. You can learn more about EdCOMM services by visiting the O2 page or the OHSU website.
With over 25 years of experience in higher education, my overarching goal has always been to promote student success, academic excellence, and inclusivity through a human-centered approach. I've held various academic and student affairs leadership roles, such as dean of students, vice president of institutional effectiveness, and chief academic officer. Before joining OHSU, I was the dean of learning support at Portland Community College.
I hold a Doctorate in Education from Concordia University – Wisconsin and a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology focusing on Higher Education and Student Personnel Administration from William James College. I am honored to also serve as a peer evaluator and past site visit chair for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family, having a great cup of coffee, and playing co-ed and women’s ice hockey.
