Biography

Dr. Yang received his Medical Degree, did his internship and residency in Nephrology in China. He completed post-doctoral training with Dr. Peter Aronson in the Section of Nephrology at Yale University School of Medicine from 1994-1998. He joined the research faculty of the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension in OHSU in 2001. His research work currently focuses on the mechanisms by which WNK kinases modulate renal transporters and how mutations of WNK kinases cause human hypertension.
