Biography

Caleb Schmid, M.D. is an endocrinologist whose specialty is in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid and adrenal disorders, as well as the management of diabetes. He enjoys working in diabetes care and endocrinology as he values problem-solving with patients and seeing results that directly impact patients’ health. He believes in educating patients about their diagnosis, physiology, and evidence-based care. Dr. Schmid also has a deep interest in international health and has worked in China, India and with refugee communities within the U.S.

Dr. Schmid is originally from Nebraska and attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Caleb trained in internal medicine residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine and completed his endocrinology fellowship at OHSU where he has joined the OHSU team to provide care.

In his free time, Caleb is a regular bike commuter, marathon runner and loves spending time at the ocean whenever possible with his family.
