Biography

Belinda is on the faculty at the School of Nursing since 2010 and relocated to the La Grande campus in 2018. Currently she is the Partnership Liaison on a HRSA grant, Oregon Primary Care Transformation, focused on expanding the role of the RN in primary care in rural and frontier Oregon and underserved urban neighborhoods. Previously she was based with the Virtual Campus as the statewide placement coordinator and clinical faculty.

Her clinical and teaching focus is on nursing in the community, primary care, and advance care planning. Practice and scholarshlip interests are development of academic practice partnerships that further improvement in nursing education and patient care and expanding the role of the RN in primary care. As the statewide RNBS Placement Coordinator, she contributed to the development of the Student Placement Opportunity Tracking System (SPOTS), a placement and student management database system. 

Prior to joining OHSU, Belinda's clinical practice emphasis was aging in place and advance care planning in the home health and hospice environments.
