Biography

As a learning support specialist, I work collaboratively with learners to develop personalized strategies for studying more effectively and efficiently. I listen with compassion and non-judgement to find the best tools for each individual on issues like test taking strategies and test anxiety, increasing focus and motivation, and getting more out of readings and lecture. I employ a holistic approach to my support, seeing each student as a human first, and ensuring that learners have the psychological, social, and well-being resources to be successful. My work is rooted in current research and continual professional development so that I’m bringing strong, innovative strategies to my learners. I believe that each learner at OHSU has incredible potential now and in the future, and I am honored to be a part of their journey.

On a personal note, I am a Portland native who was actually born at OHSU! In my free time I love reading, cooking, watching football, and getting outdoors with my family.
