Biography

Amy Miller Juve EdD, MEd, is a Professor and Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. Dr. Miller Juve also serves as the Professional Development and Program Improvement Specialist for Graduate Medical Education, and the Faculty Senate President at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland, OR.

She is passionate about faculty development, student support services, academic coaching and best practices in teaching and learning. Dr. Miller Juve is a founding member and former President of the Association of Anesthesiology Program Administrators and Educators. She is active in national organizations such as the American Medical Association and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, serving on committees to develop and provide coaching and assessment resources and educational milestones for learners and faculty. Dr. Miller Juve is a Co-PI of the OHSU/UC Davis AMA Reimagining Residency Initiative Grant, COMAPDRE and has contributed to grants funded by the American Medical Association and Oregon Health & Science University. Recently she was asked to co-Chair the year 4 workgroup for the Anesthesia Research Council, leading efforts to summarize key initiatives to consider in generating research excellence in anesthesiology medical education. She has worked at several institutions throughout Oregon including the University of Oregon, Oregon State University and Portland State University.

Amy lives in rural Sherwood, Oregon with her partner, son and dogs and volunteers her time with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. She loves Oregon Duck Football, is an avid CrossFitter, and enjoys spending time with friends, and family.
