Biography

Amber is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She is dedicated to serving underserved populations and has a special interest in working with individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental illness. Committed to providing safe and effective care, Amber utilizes evidence-based practices and advocates for her patients. She strives to deliver holistic, patient-centered care, empowering individuals to actively participate in their treatment plans.  

Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Iowa in 2014 and started her nursing career at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Originally from Iowa, she relocated to Oregon in 2017, securing a staff nurse position at Unity Center for Behavioral Health. Here, she honed her skills in psychiatric emergency services, ultimately inspiring her decision to pursue a graduate degree. In 2023, Amber received her MSN from Frontier Nursing University.  

When away from the hospital, Amber keeps busy with home improvement projects, outdoor activities, and enjoys spending time with her two dogs, family, and friends.
