Oregon’s Rural EMS: New Programs are Launching!
Joan Field, ORH’s EMS program coordinator, has been busy lining up trainings, webinars and an online resource center to assist rural EMS agencies and their staff. See below for the newest classes and more information.
EMS Billing
Begins June 25 | 10 a.m. PT
ORH will sponsor a series of training webinars presented by EMS Management & Consultants (EMS|MC) in partnership with PWW Advisory Group (PWW|AG). The training is designed specifically for rural EMS billing and coding staff and will be led by Ryan Stark, EMS|MC’s chief compliance officer, alongside a nationally recognized faculty of EMS leaders, attorneys and subject-matter experts. This series will launch with a one-hour town hall listening session to gather attendees' most pressing billing and coding questions and concerns. This session will inform the following six 90-minute webinars (dates TBD). These sessions will be interactive with ample time for Q&A.
EMS Leadership
Dates TBD
ORH will also sponsor a set of four two-hour rural EMS leadership webinars delivered by the nationally recognized EMS consulting firm, SafeTech Solutions, LLP. These webinar trainings are designed to address challenges and strategies for successful EMS leadership. Upon registration, attendees will be asked to share their most pressing challenges and topics of interest, and each of the following webinars will be focused accordingly. These sessions will be interactive with ample time for Q&A and group discussion.
Register here for all sessions
The registration form is designed to capture your specific areas of interest to ensure you receive notifications about upcoming rural EMS training, grants and resources. The form will let you choose one or all of the following: leadership, billing, human resources, equipment acquisition, EMS education in Oregon schools and mobile integrated healthcare/community paramedicine (MIH/CP).
Completing this form will also ensure you have access to the private Oregon Rural EMS SharePoint site, launching in June, which will offer additional resources and opportunities. Each of these new EMS offerings, and more, will be found there. Members must register and be invited to access the site.
We will post more information about these sessions online soon. Visit the ORH Rural EMS webpage to stay updated.
