OHSU Hospital receives prestigious national award for quality, safety

OHSU Hospital ranks 12th in the nation for superior performance in providing high-quality care, according to the 2017 Vizient Quality and Accountability Study, which awarded OHSU Hospital the Bernard A. Birnbaum, M.D., Quality Leadership Award.

Vizient share that OHSU "exemplifies a leadership style that is focused on results and a culture of collaboration and adaptability that is necessary to succeed during this time of uncertainty and change in the health care industry."

Ranking criteria include patient survival and safety, patient experience, quality of nursing care

Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital ranks among the best children's hospitals in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2018-19 Best Children's Hospitals.

The Best Children's Hospitals rankings highlight U.S. News' top 50 U.S. pediatric facilities in cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, pulmonology and urology. Eighty-nine hospitals ranked in at least one specialty, based on a combination of clinical data and reputation with pediatric specialists.
