Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship
Train in complex cases at three Portland hospitals
You will gain a broad range of experience in complex endovascular aortic procedures and lower extremity interventions in our ACGME-accredited program. You’ll also participate in combined surgeries with other subspecialists.
As one of the country’s oldest vascular surgery fellowship programs, we offer:
- A high volume of complex cases
- A subspecialty clinic for patients from across the country with genetic aortopathy and arteriopathy
- Two years of training at multiple sites, including Oregon’s only academic hospital
- Access to distinguished alumni who are leaders in vascular surgery and at their institutions
Fellowship objectives
As the last two years of residency, the fellowship covers the full spectrum of open and endovascular surgery. You will participate in:
- Complex endovascular aortic procedures and lower extremity interventions
- Complex open operations, including aortic surgeries, mesenteric bypasses and leg bypasses
- A wide variety of combined surgeries with other subspecialists to provide anterior spine exposures, porto-mesenteric and caval reconstructions, and arterial reconstruction for oncologic resections
Curriculum
You will rotate on clinical services at OHSU Hospital, Portland VA Medical Center and Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. All three sites provide a full spectrum of open and endovascular surgery.
Each year, you will spend six months in vascular surgery at OHSU, three months in vascular surgery at the VA and three months at Legacy.
