Fellowship

The Emergency Imaging Fellowship at OHSU is a one-year-long program starting on July 1 and ending on June 30. The fellowship program provides exposure to diverse trauma and pathology that often occurs at different time periods of the day and night while also providing one-on-one teaching and allowing an increasing level of independence over the course of the year.

The OHSU Emergency Imaging program is staffed by fellowship-trained body, cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal, pediatric, and neuroradiologists. The program offers exceptional training at a Level 1 trauma center and covers all aspects of emergency imaging, including radiography, CT/CTA, MRI/MRA, and ultrasound. There is plenty of opportunity for institutional interdisciplinary interactions through multiple trauma conferences in addition to numerous multidisciplinary conferences across the subspecialties, including medicine/family medicine, pulmonology/critical care, body, MSK, pathology, thoracic and cardiac surgery. We strongly encourage fellows to participate in collaborative research, both clinical and preclinical. We also encourage and offer support for fellows to present at regional and national conferences. Support is provided through protected academic time and a conference discretionary fund. In addition, our department's advanced facilities and expert mentors will give fellows the skills required to become first-rate Emergency Imaging Radiologists.

The Emergency Imaging Fellowship at OHSU is a non-ACGME fellowship program. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible radiologists. Candidates must also be eligible for an unrestricted Oregon State Medical License prior to beginning the fellowship. Candidates for fellowship are selected through individual applications, not through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

The Diversity at OHSU mural found in corridor of the OHSU hospital

OHSU’s first strategic goal is to be diverse in people and ideas and is integrated into our institution’s core values. We recognize OHSU’s services are enhanced by hiring people from diverse backgrounds. Diversity maximizes our true potential for creativity, innovation, quality patient care, educational excellence, and outstanding service. Learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion at OHSU.

OHSU has paused recruitment for applicants who would require a new H-1B visa, in response to recent federal changes. If you have an H1-B visa currently or do not need a visa (e.g. are a green card holder), we are still accepting applications.
