About me

Mikael Clothier is a primary care provider who offers primary and urgent care treatment, assessment and management of chronic and acute physical and mental health conditions, and education about healthy lifestyles and behaviors to support wellness. His goal is to make primary care feel accessible, safe and friendly to people from all walks of life, including adolescents, people of color, LGBTQ people and people within other marginalized communities. His aim is to partner with individuals, families and communities to identify their own health goals, understand and engage in preventive care and improve their quality (and quantity) of life. After eight years as a bedside nurse, he better understands the needs of patients in the grips of serious medical illness, and now feels grateful to help patients improve their mental, emotional and physical health.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, going on adventures with his partner and 8-year-old son, playing in the ocean with their dog, gardening, camping, hiking skiing, and otherwise being in the great outdoors.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
