About me

Dr. Kelly Block is a neurologist treating patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders at Oregon Health & Science University and the Portland VA. She attended medical school at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, and subsequently completed her neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the Texas Medical Center.

Dr. Block’s research focuses on using molecular and cellular biomarkers to improve our understanding of who will benefit most from which kinds of treatments. She has an interest in designing more inclusive clinical trials to ensure that all patients have better access to advanced technologies and therapies.

Kelly enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors in Oregon, birdwatching, hiking and camping. She is thrilled to be in the Pacific Northwest and to have the privilege of working with the movement disorders patient population.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
