Biography

Dr. Tan grew up in the city-state of Singapore. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and obtained her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She then returned to Johns Hopkins for her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and completed her fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include computational medicine, particularly as it relates to outcomes research, as well as pediatric hearing loss. In her free time, she enjoys photography, graphic design, and tennis.
