About me

I am a bicultural family medicine doctor offering compassionate, culturally humble and inclusive patient-centered care.

I treat patients of all ages, especially those with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

I provide many types of treatments for my patients, including preventive care and screenings, medication and chronic disease management, mental health care and reproductive health care.

Growing up in Yakima, Washington, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by individuals with limited access to healthcare due to language and cultural barriers. I strive to bridge this gap. I am passionate about building long-term relationships with patients, particularly those from underserved and marginalized communities. I aim to provide a space where individuals feel heard, cared for, and supported.

Outside of OHSU, I enjoy playing different types of music, reading about moral philosophy and spending time outdoors with my wife and our dog, Horchata.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
