About me

Dr. Eric Ardman wants to know about his patients' values and family in addition to their chronic ailments and medical problems. He wants to be a helpful, honest guide and supportive presence in the lives of his patients. His interests in patients as people are reflected in his professional interests: narrative medicine, patient/community advocacy, medical education, addiction medicine, family planning, LGBT health, palliative care, primary care in Vietnam. He enjoys speaking conversational Spanish and Vietnamese with his patients as well.

Dr. Ardman's pronouns are he/his/him. His Vietnamese name is "Binh An" which means 'peaceful.' He grew up outside of Philadelphia (so he loves big soft pretzels and Wawa) but spent his formative years in Miami, Florida (so he loves to dance Salsa and relax on a beach). Dr. Ardman is passionate about caring for those on the margins of society and learning about his community so that he may effectively advocate for change. Dr. Ardman only speaks when he has something to say; he prefers to listen to others and hear about their lives.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
