About me

Elizabeth (pronouns: she/her) is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. Her background is in family medicine and she is excited to be focusing her practice at the Center for Women’s Health.

Elizabeth is privileged to be given the opportunity to work with families and individuals navigating their health and pregnancy. With a trauma informed approach, she enjoys working alongside her patients, creating partnerships, and empowering them through shared decision making.

Elizabeth’s clinical interests include preventive healthcare, gender affirming care, LGBTQ+ care, Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for opioid use disorders, reproductive health, and pre and post pregnancy care. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, gardening, and cooking.

  1. First meeting with her but she was very informative and thorough and answered my questions well and with detail.

  2. Dr Yiu made me feel so safe and comfortable. She explained hormones to me in a way that made sense and took my concerns seriously. I am so grateful to have her as my doc and recommend her to all my trans friends!

  6. Elizabeth C. Yiu, NP, was absolutely wonderful-very attentive to my care and concerns, professional, and thorough in explaining everything she was doing. I truly appreciated her thoughtful approach. However, the medical assistant who checked me in came across as a bit unpleasant and dry at first. Her demeanor improved once we began speaking, but the initial interaction could have been warmer.

  10. Elizabeth talked down to me and made me feel like what Im feeling wasnt as bad as I said or that I was wrong. Overall I did get a good end result for dealing with the pain but I wish I didnt have to fight with my doctor to prove something that im not lying or wrong

  27. I wish I remembered the name of the nurse who checked me in, but he was amazing! The nurse practitioner that I met with was also amazing, but he stood out because of his friendliness and concern for my well-being
