About me

Dr. Elizabeth Shih is a family physician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages, with a special interest in women's health and adolescent medicine. She became a primary care doctor because she values developing relationships with her patients and partnering with them to achieve their health care goals. She is passionate about evidence-based health care for women, patient-centered contraception, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Shih is also passionate about teaching medical students, medical residents and fellows. She values the opportunities to work with other providers and medical experts in an academic environment like OHSU's.

When she's not working, Dr. Shih spends her time exploring Portland with  her family, including three children and two dogs. She also enjoys running, swimming, yoga and knitting.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
