About me

Dr. Chelsey Wilhite is a pediatric psychologist who specializes in neurodevelopmental disabilities, early childhood mental health and caregiver well-being and support. Her current clinical work focuses on developmental and psychological evaluations addressing a variety of concerns from autism to trauma.

The well-being of children and their families is the core of her work as a psychologist. With a history in different settings such as public schools, community clinics and hospitals, Dr. Wilhite has a wide range of experiences that inform her current practice. She strives to provide a safe, healing and helpful space for caregivers and families seeking services for their children, and to offer equitable and accessible diagnostic and treatment services.

Dr. Wilhite’s psychological residency and postdoctoral fellowship specialized in trauma-informed and rural-serving psychological practices. Her research interest is centered on health inequities for rural and underserved communities within the context of perinatal and maternal-child health.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her partner and her dog, spending time with family, and trying new recipes.
