About me

Dr. Enestvedt emigrated from Malaysia at a very early age to New Jersey. Her medical education brought her steadily west to Portland, Oregon after completing medical and business school in Chicago at Northwestern University. After her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at OHSU, she completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, double balloon enteroscopy, luminal stents and esophageal and colonic endoscopic mucosal resection. She served as gastroenterology faculty at Temple University in Philadelphia prior to joining the OHSU faculty.

She is specifically interested in therapeutic endoscopic advances, clinical research aimed at improving patient care for esophageal, gastric, pancreatic and colorectal cancers, and biliary strictures in patients with a history of liver transplant. Dr. Enestvedt also serves on committees associated with the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy aimed at improving GI fellowship training and education. She is also passionate about teaching and encouraging careers in academic medicine for medical students, residents and fellows. She is married with two young daughters and in her free time enjoys playing tennis, travelling internationally and claims to be a crossfit enthusiast.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
