The Oregon Prescription Drug Affordability Board Seeks Input on Drug Costs
On behalf of the Oregon Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB), ORH is sharing the following information.
PDAB was created in 2022 to help protect Oregonians and the health care system from the high cost of prescription drugs. Each year, the board reviews a list of prescription drugs and identifies up to nine prescription drugs and at least one insulin product that may create affordability challenges, then reports its findings to the Oregon Legislature in December. By participating in a community forum or submitting an online feedback form, you can help inform PDAB as it reviews these medications.
The board will host in-person and online community forums in April and May about the high cost of prescription drugs. Attendees can share their story with board staff about how prescription drug prices and medication costs have affected them. PDAB will also seek input through an online feedback form for patients and caregivers about medications the board is reviewing this year.
In-person meetings will be held in Salem, Portland, Redmond and Beaverton with online meetings hosted on Zoom. The forums are free, and Spanish interpretation will be available for the online sessions. American Sign Language will be available at the May 20 board meeting and may be requested for the forums. The patient and caregiver feedback form will be available on their website in mid-April. Visit the Oregon PDAB website to learn more.
Download a flyer in English or Spanish for meeting dates, times, locations, Zoom meeting IDs and passcodes.
