OHSU/PSU School of Public Health looking for CHWs and CBO leaders to participate in a study on partnerships

Opportunity to Participate: Building Better Partnerships Study

The OHSU/PSU School of Public Health is looking for participants for a study on building better partnerships. The "Building Better Partnerships" study focuses on how community-based organizations (CBOs) and health care delivery systems can strengthen collaboration to better address the social determinants of health and advance population-level outcomes.

This work is a way to recognize the people who bring collaboration between community, health and social service systems to life every day. It is intended to honor CBO and community health worker (CHW) contributions and help turn shared experiences into better systems for everyone. This PDF outlines the opportunities to participate, either by completing a brief questionnaire or joining an interview.

CBO leaders are invited to complete a short, five-minute questionnaire using a simple scale to assess key elements of partnerships to deliver health-related services such as food, housing, safety, transportation or employment. Questions cover five key areas, including relationships, service delivery, funding, data and equity. Access the questionnaire here

CHWs are invited to take part in a virtual interview discussing how community members experience, access and understand health-related social needs and services within CBO and coordinated care organization (CCO) partnerships. Upon completion of the interview, participants will receive a $40 electronic gift card. View eligibility requirements and schedule an interview here.

Findings from the study will be shared in a community forum and with participants who choose to provide their email address. For more information, visit www.betterpartnerships.org or email Mina Colon.
