NARHC Recognizes Oregon Among Top Five RHC Advocacy Leaders
In 2025, National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) members embraced the power of VoterVoice, a digital advocacy platform, to amplify Rural Health Clinic (RHC) priorities on Capitol Hill. Throughout the year, dedicated NARHC advocates sent nearly 5,000 messages to U.S. senators and representatives, demonstrating a strong, collective commitment to advancing and protecting the RHC program. Oregon was one of the states with the highest engagement!
NARHC is deeply grateful to every RHC community member who took action through any of its 18 active VoterVoice campaigns in 2025. Each message helped ensure that lawmakers heard directly from the communities they serve and underscored the critical role RHCs play in rural health care.
NARHC would like to give a special shoutout to the five states with the highest engagement, which includes Oregon, along with Illinois, Texas, Kentucky and Iowa. NARHC’s success would not have been possible without this, and the voices of the RHC community are essential and truly make a difference on Capitol Hill.
As it kicks off 2026, NARHC invites you to keep the momentum going by taking action on its current advocacy campaigns below:
- Urge your legislators to include critical RHC payment & billing fixes in the upcoming telehealth extension;
- Support RHCs via the CONNECT for Health Act;
- Support RHCs by allowing NPs & PAs to practice at the top of their licenses;
- Ensure RHCs can continue operating in communities under 50,000 residents;
- Urge Congress to eliminate barriers to behavioral health in RHCs;
- Support the RNs for Rural Health Act; and
- Urge your legislators to prevent cuts to rural health programs.
