ORH Spotlight | Meet ORH’s New Rural MIH Program Coordinator Melissa Varnum
Say hello to the newest member of the Field Services team! Melissa Varnum recently joined ORH as the rural mobile integrated health (MIH) program coordinator. Melissa currently lives in Bend and grew up in Eastern Oregon. She received her Master of Public Health degree from OHSU and, over the past several years, has worked with health departments, nonprofit organizations and community grants programs. In her role as MIH program coordinator, she will support Oregon’s rural health care and EMS organizations in designing and implementing MIH programs across the state. This will include supporting the development and dissemination of an MIH toolkit and working with partners in Wheeler County to start a new MIH program. Melissa is excited to continue working with rural communities in Oregon and to work toward increasing the reach of MIH programs statewide.
Welcome, Melissa!
