We provide comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents with a full range of lung and breathing (respiratory) disorders. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has the depth and breadth of experience to treat the broad spectrum of all respiratory (breathing) conditions in children, such as asthma, cystic fibrosis and other lung and breathing conditions. Our team includes pediatric pulmonologists, nurses, dietitians, social workers, respiratory therapists and speech pathologists.

We treat many conditions that may affect your child’s breathing, including:

  • Asthma
  • Cystic fibrosis (CF)
  • Chronic lung disease due to premature birth
  • Respiratory failure
  • Dysphagia, aspiration and gastro esophageal reflux
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Sleep disorders
  • Chest wall and spine disorders (scoliosis)
  • Chronic and recurrent respiratory infections
  • Child interstitial lung disease (chILD)
  • technology dependent children

We provide complete diagnostic testing, including:

  • Pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
  • Exercise-induced bronchospasm
  • Infant pulmonary function tests
  • Flexible bronchoscopy
  • Bronchial lavage
  • 16 channel polysomnography (sleep study)
