Seamless Move to Our New Home

   Perio Ribbon Cutting smaller

After 58 years and countless months of planning and coordination, the School of Dentistry has left its building on Marquam Hill and completed its move to its new home by the banks of the Willamette River.

The Collaborative Life Sciences Building was formally opened on June 26, patients were seen in the new space in the first week of July and the DMD Class of 2018 arrived for orientation on August 11.

“The clinics are spectacular, and it is a really beautiful space for patient care,” said Dean Phillip Marucha, DMD, PhD.

Faculty, staff and residents of the Department of Periodontology held their own ribbon-cutting to celebrate their arrival in their new space. Included above are Winthrop B. Carter, DDS, FICD, Associate Professor & Graduate Program Director (far right), Dean Marucha (second from right) and James A. Katancik, DDS, PhD, Associate Professor and Chair (back row, fourth from right).
