About me

I’m an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal care. I help patients who are experiencing pain or dysfunction in the neck, mid-back or lower back.

I work with patients experiencing:

My goal is to work with you to relieve pain, improve function and support your overall quality of life through personalized care and, when necessary, advanced surgical techniques.

What I enjoy most about my work is helping patients get back to the activities that matter most to them, whether that’s returning to the gym, being pain-free at work or simply enjoying time with family. I strive to explain your diagnosis and treatment options in clear, straightforward language so you can feel informed and confident in your care plan. My approach emphasizes collaboration, thoughtful planning and compassionate support.

Outside of medicine, my wife and I love taking advantage of the many outdoor activities Oregon offers, from hiking to exploring the many scenic trails of the Pacific Northwest.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
