Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.

Dr. Barton spends most of his time engaged in direct patient care and in teaching fellows and residents at OHSU. Barton is active in clinical work encompassing nearly all aspects of interventional radiology. His research interests lie mainly in assessing the effectiveness of new therapeutic modalities. He is also interested in exploring ways to use computers, networks and telecommunications to facilitate medical care, teaching, and research. Barton is a member of the SCVIR membership and Internet committees. In his spare time, Barton enjoys spending time with his family. He volunteers as a basketball coach at his children’s school. He is an avid hiker and photographer and spends much of his summers camping throughout the West.
