Before scheduling an appointment
- Check your network. If you have health insurance, call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
- Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.
If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

They are knowlegeable
Tok time with me, answered many questions even though they were running behind in their schedule for the day.
Positive, professional and caring
Dr Hays was very thorough. She answered all my questions about upcoming surgery.
Excellent. I got an explanation for what was causing the pain in both knees. I am so thankful just to know what it is. Many previous clinicians have merely stated I have minor arthritis. No one has ever mentioned the bone spurs in each knee. So Thank You Very Much.
He was able to evaluate the results of the knee replacement easily.
Very likeable. Gave me a good amount of things that can be tried before knee surgery!

He was wonderful and patient answering all of my questions.
My answer pertains to Nate Fennewald. Having first seen him 9 years ago for the same knee I found him pleasant, informative and a good listener. I respected his judgement then and I do now. By all means keep him at OHSU.
