About me

 My goal is to improve my patients' quality of life by helping them solve their hip and knee complaints. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive operative and non-operative care. My approach is to avoid surgery when possible and provide safe, effective surgery when necessary. I want my patients to feel empowered to participate in their orthopaedic treatment plans. I want to help my patients' achieve their functional goals and restore or maintain a healthy and happy active lifestyle. Joint replacements are effective surgeries that can transform people's lives from debilitated to nearly pain-free and it is an honor to provide this service to my community.

  3. Dr. Schabel provided the information for my scheduled procedure. She also answered my follow up questions.

  4. Dr. Schabel was extremely easy to talk with. Her knowledge of the knee replacement procedure was exceptional. (I say this as this will be my 2nd knee replacement and have at least some knowledge/experience with this kind of surgery.) She discussed the surgery in a calm, matter-of fact manner that gave me great confidence in her skills.

  7. Dr. Schabel entered the room and carried a wave of professionalism and competence with her. The most notable thing about her presence, though, is she genuinely seemed to care. She touched my shoulder and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me. It was the first time someone was reassuring or truly comforting in this process. It was APPRECIATED.

  8. She explained everything easily and showed me things about the surgery. Asked questions and listened to my concerns. She let me ask questions and took time to answer or address any concerns.
