About me

I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. I specialize in helping patients dealing with:

  • Joint instability
  • Ligament tears
  • Dislocations
  • Sports-related injuries

I'm here to provide expert, compassionate care that helps you return to the activities you love. As a former collegiate athlete myself, I understand the physical and emotional challenges of sports injuries, and I approach each patient's care with that personal perspective in mind.

In addition to my clinical work at OHSU Orthopaedics in Beaverton and South Waterfront, I serve as Team Physician for Portland State University, providing comprehensive sports medicine care for varsity athletes. I've also had the privilege of serving as the primary orthopedic sports medicine doctor for athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and as a medical volunteer at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy trail running, hiking and curling up with a good book on a rainy Oregon day.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
