About me

Dr. Brady (formerly Munch) specializes in the care of patients with sports injuries, especially involving the knee and shoulder. She treats injuries of the bones, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, and other connective tissue. Her patients include athletes of all ages, skill levels and disciplines. She has a particular interest in patients with joint instability, including kneecap dislocations, shoulder dislocations, and knee dislocations involving multiple knee ligaments (ACL, PCL, MCL, etc.).

A former collegiate athlete, Dr. Brady enjoys participating in and providing medical care for local sporting events. She has served as the primary care and orthopaedic sports medicine doctor in charge of care for the athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO during a rotation in 2016. She also served as a medical volunteer at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. In her spare time, she enjoys trail running and hiking, as well as curling up with a good book on a rainy day.

Dr. Brady serves as Team Physician for Portland State University, providing sports medicine care for varsity athletes in the PSU training room, in her OHSU clinic, and on the field during athletic events. Dr. Brady was awarded the title of the John and Susan Hayhurst Distinguished Scholar in Orthopaedic Research and Innovation by the OHSU School of Medicine effective June 1, 2019.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

  1. Dr Brady is amazing

  2. Dr Brady seemed to consider my injuries much more than other doctors I've seen. She checked my knee in depth, thought about it for a long time, and seemed to consider it for a while before offered potential solutions. Most other doctors I've seen are quick to offer what seems to be the first idea that comes to their mind. She seemed to actually look at my injury as a problem to be solved. She has my full confidence.

  3. The nurses Dr. Brady's team and Sarah her physical. Therapist were amazing and outstanding. The whole team deserves, and award like Best Team of the year.

  4. I felt very listened to and she explained clearly what is causing my pain.

  5. Dr. Brady has showed me so much care and compassion, at levels I have never experienced before. She made me feel heard and explained her clinical thoughts and every possible course of treatment without pressuring me to choose one thing over another. I am so grateful for everything her and the staff at OHSU have done for me so far, and I haven't even had my operation yet.

  6. Doctor was amazing. Listened to my concerns and was willing to help me even though I didn't fit in the black and white box of what the perfect patient was for the surgery.

  7. Wonderful

  8. Good

  9. Incredibly knowledgeable and cared about my situation. Scheduled my surgery asap when I had previously been told I'd have to wait. Was VERY knowledgeable about her specialty and answered questions I'd had my whole life.

  10. She is thoughtful, informative and knowledgeable

  11. Dr. Brady was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I left the consult feeling hopeful that she could fix my specific knee problem. She spent a lot of time with me and my husband, answering our questions, examining me and getting to know us personally. I feel very confident choosing her as my orthopedic surgeon, not just because she's extremely well-qualified and passionate about patellofemoral disorders, but also because I can tell she really cares. Thank you, Dr. Brady!!

  12. Dr. Brady has wonderful. Smart, efficient, and caring. I have already sung her praises to another friend who coincidentally is looking for a doctor for similar care.

  13. She was thoughtful concise and helpful

  14. So far best and most professional knee care I have received

  15. Dr. Brady and Kyle (the resident, can't remember his last name- apologies!) were very kind and understanding. I had a lot of anxiety coming into this appointment, and to have both of them actually listen to my concerns and be eager to help was refreshing.

  16. Excellent care! Very compassionate and friendly.
