I left the appointment feeling dismissed, not reassured, and with very little confidence in the provider's clinical judgment given that my eyes were never physically examined during the visit. My symptoms began several days before the appointment after sleeping in my contact lenses and had been significantly worse prior to coming in, including redness, swelling, irritation, discharge, and my symptoms spreading to both eyes. Even though my symptoms were somewhat calmer during the actual appointment, I still expected a proper physical evaluation given what I had been experiencing.I was also compared to another patient who, in the provider's opinion, "had it much worse," which made me feel like my concerns were being minimized rather than individually assessed. Initially, I was only advised to use saline drops, and I had to advocate for myself to receive antibiotic drops despite explaining how severe the symptoms had been over the previous several days.Overall, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive, and I left feeling more like an inconvenience than a patient whose concerns were genuinely being addressed. I left questioning why someone would choose to practice medicine if they are unwilling to thoroughly evaluate or show care and concern for their patients.

Emma is so personable and connects genuinely with children. She switched seamless between parent and child/patient. She explains things in a way that is age appropriate. She took many incidental opportunities to reinforce bodily safety with kiddo (asking to raise dress, but "only for this exam to see X, Y, and Z and because Mom is here").

Emma Jones is personable, very knowledgeable, and listens. She takes all of my concerns seriously and addresses them with care and consideration. She explains her thought process and presents options, so I always feel informed and included in my own health care decisions.
