About me

I’m Ellen Petersen, a family nurse practitioner with experience in urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and accidental bowel leakage. I provide non-surgical treatments for pelvic floor disorders, including counseling on behavioral changes, pelvic floor muscle strengthening, medications, tibial nerve stimulation, and pessaries.

I believe it’s important to talk with patients to identify their goals and work together to develop a treatment plan that suits them.

In my free time, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and two children. I also enjoy gardening, jogging, and trying out new recipes.

  2. I was pleasantly surprised how kind and empathetic she was. She gave me plenty of time to explain my concerns and thoughts. Most importantly she validated my symptoms and told me that she believed me and it wasn't just all in my head. I felt like she had my best interest in heart, was willing to listen and learn, and treated me with compassion.

  18. The Doctor was very informative during my exam. I was told everything that was going to happen before It happened. I was offered a chaperone. The assistant did seem as If they did not want to be In the room and that made me uncomfortable. They were still very accommodating.
