About me

*Always open to pediatric patients and new OB/prenatal patients*

Dr. Canary Ly is a family nurse practitioner and primary care provider (PCP) offering full-spectrum individual and family care. As a child of refugees, Canary understands the importance of cultural competency and the role of family in healthcare decision making.  She enjoys getting to know individuals and their families, and takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient-centered care with their priorities in mind. She believes that her role as a PCP is to be an advocate for her patients and help guide them to making the best decisions for their own health.

Dr. Ly's doctoral project identified and helped address sexual health education for college-aged young adults. As a faculty member, her goal is to help guide the next generation of health care professionals. She is interested in connecting with clinical research to further her scope and understanding of complex conditions.

Outside of work, she enjoys having fun with rugby and soccer, getting outside for hikes or walks along the coast, crocheting/knitting for friends, cooking up new recipes, and spending time with her family, including her cat, 5 chickens, and puppy.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.
