Welcome to OHSU as a postdoctoral scholar! You will be provided with lots of information and tools over the next few months as you transition into your new role. Here are a few resources to help you get started:

• You can find OHSU's Postdoctoral Scholar Handbook on Sakai. This handbook provides information related to postdoctoral policies, procedures, and resources. 

You can find a variety of professional and career development presentations and resources for postdoctoral scholars on Sakai (which is OHSU's online learning management system). Use your OHSU username and password to sign-in to Sakai. Some resources include:

• Career Supports
• Postdoc Seminar Series
• And other resources from the NIH, NSF, NPA, NCFDD, etc. 

New postdoctoral scholars are automatically invited to the postdoctoral Microsoft Teams group maintained by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Postdoctoral Society. Teams is used to communicate important deadlines, advertise events, and publicize career and funding opportunities. 

Each month there is a newsletter collaboratively developed by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the Postdoctoral Society, and Research and Innovation. This newsletter reports on items of interest for all postdoctoral scholars and features postdoctoral publications and awards.

To ensure you receive the postdoc newsletter, make sure your OHSU Now preferences are set to allow email notifications.

The O² is OHSU's intranet that includes many resources for employees. If you have a question about something at OHSU, you can often find the answer by accessing the O². Your OHSU username and password allows you to log-in to this intranet.

OHSU Now is the university's communication platform that unifies all communication in a central location. You can customize the news you receive through OHSU Now and access it in multiple ways. You can download the mobile app, navigate the website, and receive emails. This is the best and most convenient way to stay up to date on important OHSU news including events, funding opportunities, and professional development opportunities.
