Biography

Dr. Gurley studies the pathogenesis of hypertension and diabetic kidney disease.  Her laboratory studies rely on mouse models of human diseases to dissect relevant pathways contributing to hypertension and kidney disease.  She has research programs looking at the renin-angiotensin system, specifically angiotensin II signaling  and actions of ACE2 in the kidney, and mechanisms of diabetic nephropathy, using novel mouse models.
