IV. SCHOLARSHIP

Area of Interest: I am interested in issues of prevention, detection, treatment, and healthcare delivery for patients with, and at risk for, tobacco-related lung diseases, chiefly lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).  My primary research focus centers on improving patient outcomes and developing innovative treatment approaches in these areas.  Through the application of comparative research methodologies, I hope to improve healthcare quality for patients with tobacco-related lung diseases.
