The National Diabetes Prevention Program is a year-long lifestyle change program. Participants meet in a group with a trained lifestyle coach to learn how to include healthy eating and regular physical activity into their lives. The goal is to achieve modest weight loss to help prevent type 2 diabetes.
Come to the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center and learn how to add new foods and spices to simple recipes while improving your cooking skills and staying on a budget! Each class includes a recipe demonstration, taste tests and take-home recipes. Classes are free, no registration required.

A parent group for families whose children have type 1 diabetes located in Eugene, Oregon.

Support group for children and young adults (age 25 and under) and their families who have type 1 diabetes. Meetings are focused on activities where kids are active and moving while providing parents an opportunity to connect with one another.
Mindfulness Breath by Breath is an ongoing drop-in class that provides a solid introduction to simple and effective stress reduction methods including various breath and mindfulness practices. Classes include mindfulness instruction, movement, relaxation practice and group discussions.

Your child can participate in making art at the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center with the Children's Healing Art Project. Children’s Healing Arts Project’s in-clinic programs feature a variety of art projects designed to spark each child’s imagination.
