Whether you’ve had type 2 diabetes for 2 days or 20 years, learn how to successfully manage your diabetes and live a healthy life!

Program Features

  • 4-part virtual series led by a diabetes educator and diabetes counselor

Our class is approved by the American Diabetes Association 

Session 1 (2.5 hours)

  • What is diabetes
  • Checking blood sugar
  • What impacts blood sugar

Session 2 (2.5 hours)

  • Healthy eating
  • Carb counting

Session 3 (2 hours)

  • Physical activity
  • Preventing chronic complications
  • Diabetes medications

Session 4 (2 hours)

  • Diabetes distress
  • Healthy coping

Anyone with type 2 diabetes who wants to learn more about managing diabetes. You do not need to be a patient of our clinic or OHSU.

  • The cost is covered by most insurance plans with a referral from your doctor.

  • Location is virtual. Details for online access emailed after registration. 

Ask your doctor for a referral. After the referral is placed, our scheduling team will call you to pick a date and time. The program includes all 4 virtual sessions.
