Dr. Timothy Liem is a professor of surgery at OHSU where he is a vice-chair for quality in the OHSU Knight Cardiovascular Institute. He received an undergraduate degree in biomechanical engineering from the University of California at San Diego, and he received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his general surgery training at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and his vascular surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2015, he received his MBA in healthcare management from OHSU. Dr. Liem is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, the Western Vascular Society, the International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and Alpha Omega Alpha. He is on the editorial board and a reviewer for numerous medical journals, and has authored or co-authored over 80 book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. He lectures across the country on topics including venous thromboembolism, anticoagulation and venous duplex imaging. This provider Dr Liem is very accurate in his health assessments, has a great attitude about explaining the existing problems and various things that could arise if problems are not corrected.Is very direct and does not beat around the bush and answer my questions in a way I can understand them.

Yeah, I thought the Dr. Liem was - is a very good doctor and he was truthful with me and he apologized, that you know the news I had was more on the on the bad side than the good side, but that was not his fault - he just told me the truth and he apologized a couple of times, and I appreciate that, and I think he's very good doctor.
