Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  1. Best care I have ever received with a team approach

  2. Easy to talk to and always explains things so I can understand.

  3. Dr Olson is friendly personable, listens well and is very knowledgeable!

  4. Dr, Olson and his students took their time to meet with me to discuss a genetic blood clotting disorder that I have that may be impacting our ability to have a successful pregnancy. Dr. Olson had done research on the rare genetic mutation that I have and explained how there isn't a lot of data out on this yet, but that he would support the method we were requesting to move forward with another IVF transfer on blood thinners. He was very empathetic and caring about our situation. He has offered to monitor my treatment on blood thinners if we have a successful pregnancy next year and we feel that this is going above and beyond to help us on something that is not very well known!

  11. Very Professional indeed.

  12. All my experiences with Dr. Olson, from the very first up until this last, have been an outstanding. Always on point, always looking beyond my immediate concerns, always being practical and straightforward. This is really refreshing, because my experiences with most doctors at OHSU is that they are very cagey, very hesitant to share knowledge, and often want to throw my concerns "over the fence" to another specialist. Those experiences are very frustrating.

  13. Dr Olsen is up to date. He is thorough and kind. He is present and listens to concerns.

  17. If we are talking about Dr Sven Olson, he was very professional, warm, an active listener, and was able to come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. He even offered to follow me in order to keep an eye on my health issue and a correct medication schedule. I was scheduled for a yearly exam and he Is available If any new issues develop. I finally felt so relieved to get an explanation for my chronic pain related to vascular issues. Dr Olson really gave me hope that I finally found a clinician who was knowledgeable and was caring, as well.

  18. Dr Olsen is very knowledgeable and engages in a personable way
