About me

Dr. Supreetha Gubbala is a primary care physician who specializes in family medicine. Her clinical interests include primary care psychiatry, substance use disorder, intergenerational and systemic trauma and healing-centered engagement.

A self-described “global rugrat,” she has at various points in her life called India, Australia and Massachusetts home. Her experiences as a lifelong immigrant inspired her to choose family medicine with the hope of supporting individuals and their communities in their unique health journeys.

In her practice, she uses an integrated approach that is community based and family driven to walk alongside individuals as they move toward healing from intergenerational and systemic trauma.

Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Gubbala was a published journalist and writer. Today, she remains an avid reader and writer who can often be found buried between the shelves of the public library.

Insurance

Before scheduling an appointment

  1. Check your network. If you have health insurance,  call your company to find out if the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is part of your network.
  2. Ask what you will pay. Your insurance company can tell you what your costs are likely to be.

If you schedule an appointment and your health insurance does not include OHSU Health, you may have to pay more than if you go to a provider in your insurance network.

Visit our billing and insurance page for more information.

  1. Dr. Gabala has been the best I've ever had to meet with in any healcare facility. I was extremely happy with our visit and will continue seeing her as long as shes at this location.

  6. Dr. Gubbala is very friendly and compassionate. She answered all my questions and addressed them appropriately. She made sure that my referral was made and told me to call if there were any problems concerning the referral.

  7. Once I finally got this appointment scheduled, the staff was great; I was seen on time and everyone was friendly and helpful. I am happy to be a new patient at OHSU and very much like my doctor and the attention shown to be at my visit.

  8. Kind, friendly, knew what they were doing

  9. She and I get along famously. When I tell her about a problem. She takes care of it then.

  10. Dr. Gubbala was caring and professional. Her assessment of root pain cause was different than other providers and treatment options were discussed. She prescribed diclofenac which has alleviated not only the acute pain behind my knee but long standing chronic pain in my ankles. She also called for an ultrasound that reduced anxiety of a possible blood clot. Finding no clot, but discovering the possible cause as a Bakers cyst (cause of the cyst remains undetermined). Cheers to Dr. Gubbala!
